aksum Aksum is the place in Brussels for fresh Ethiopian coffee, roasted on the premises. Whether you prefer a strong double espresso or a smooth caffèlatte, the taste is really something different. Our coffee is all organically grown and made from single origin beans - read more about it here! Our classic Marzocco espresso machine, Mazzer mills and trained baristas are further guarantees for a perfect coffee experience. If you feel like taking beans home, you can currently choose between three different regional origins. We'll grind the beans to suit your espresso or filter coffee machine. While sipping your coffee, you can have a look at our art exhibitions by African artists or on African themes, or our selection of African handicraft and fair trade design for sale. We have free wi-fi access, too. Every now and then, we organise a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Ask us for details. Aksum is open Fridays 16:00-20:00, Email: info(AT)aksumcoffeehouse.com Telephone: +32 484 077695 NEWS In May, Aksum goes South Africa. Have you tried our Amarula espresso? South Africa also stands for inspiring design: cool bags by Wren Design and rustic frames by Mark Hilltout, for instance. Check our Facebook page for pictures. Too busy or too far away to come and pick up some bags of coffee? Then we'll send coffee to you by post. Drop us an email, tell us which bean(s) you would like and how you want your them (filter, espresso, whole beans), the number of 250 g bags and how you prefer to pay: by bank transfer or PayPal.
Did you know that coffee was first discovered and grown in Ethiopia? There is a region called Kaffa, which has given its name to the drink. For those of you for whom a shot of the Ethiopian brew is not enough, we occasionally arrange tours in Africa. Feel free to ask us for details. We also sell African craft and design articles online.
